Work with the system status overlay
The system status overlay is a group of icons in the mapping window that displays relevant information about the status of the file that you’re working on. When Co-Editing, the system status overlay lets you know whether the active diagram is editable, whether it contains unsaved changes, and if applicable, the diagram’s Co-Editing and publishing state. Also, it always lets you know if a filter has been applied in the map.
By default, the system status overlay appears in the top-left corner of the mapping window, but you can choose its location or hide it.

You can click the icon to see where the diagram was opened from.

Diagram is read-only and editing is disabled.
|
|
|

You can also invite someone to join a Co-Editing session by clicking the icon, clicking Share Link.
|
|
To resume Co-Editing, click the icon and click Restart Co-Editing.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
The diagram contains unsaved changes.
|
|
|
|
|
|
Diagram contains content hidden by a filter.
To see what filter is applied, click the icon. You can also remove the filter by clicking the icon and clicking Show All Branches.

|
All changes have been published online.
You can revert the map publishing by clicking the icon and clicking Unpublish.

|
Some changes have not been published online.
You publish the most-recent version of the diagram by clicking the icon and clicking Publish Update.

To reposition the system status overlay

Control-click a status icon and choose one of the following:
To hide the system status overlay
•
Control-click a status icon and choose
Hide For Now.
The system status overlay is hidden for the rest of the current session. When you reopen the diagram, it appears in the last-used position in the map window.
To display the system status overlay, click the
Show/Hide arrow on the
View tab, click
Map Status >
Show Status.
